the june mutha-fuckin trifecta
did i spell trifecta correctly?
who gives a good fuck?
yes, i'm an absolute asshole for not keeping this "thing" fresh and clean......how hard can it really be?......an hour a day to clear your mind?.....perhaps it's the fact that i sit at a fucking computer all day and it's the last thing i wanna do when i come home.......or perhaps i'm an absolute asshole as mentioned above......
either way, the month of JUNE has now almost fucking evaporated and what the fuck do we have to show for it?......i'm glad you asked, dear reader.....
besides continuing to work my fucking nuts off, i've actually managed to revive my "true love", which would be the act of seeing a band in a live setting.......some would call it "seeing a show"........or some would say "going to a rock concert"........i used to do it very frequently in my younger days.......dude, i'd see a fucking concert every weekend if i was given the chance......but then you know, the fucking job and the fucking responsibilites tend to take over......so my habit of catching the RAWK has really tailed off in the last few years, leaving me to pick and choose whom i reeeeeeeaally want to see, not to mention whom i reeeeeeeally wanna fork over mucho $$$$$$$$ for, not to mention whom i reeeeeeeeally care enough to mingle with all those fucking youngster hipster fucks during a show.......
but the month of june, tender reader, has proven to be a fruitful one in the RAWK category........let's recap it then, shall we?

The Opera House
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- SPOON -
just another one of those small indie bands that i've followed since day one (yes, praise me for being oh so very cool like that) yet i had never seen them in a live setting, so when the opportunity arrived, i jumped at it......now keep in mind that "turrawna" is approx. 7 hours from when i'm currently living, plus the hour time difference.......but fucking hell, it's SPOON and it's TORONTO......and i caught the show with my best bud from college, so it was pretty fucking sweet all around.......the show was all abooot fine indie rawk......

holy fucking hell......another band i had yet to see in a live setting, so there was no fucking chance i was gonna let this one pass me by......yeah, taking a half day off of work was like the end of the world as we know it, but i was ready for the ladies of SK to kick me in the nuts with their squal......i had already booked a cozy hotel room near the venue so there was NO need to make the drive back home from cleveland.......dude, this show was everything i could have possibly expected.......SK fans are fucking rabid.......and very fucking gay, in the lesbian way of gay......and they were all packed around the stage in clusters......cute yet annoying.......oh well, more fucking power to 'em.......i was the troubled loner guy, not talking to anyone, ready to get kicked in the nuts by the band.......DEAD MEADOW opened the show and TOHHHHH-tally kicked me in the nuts!!......three guys that cranked out pyschedelic rawk with tunes spiraling over 10 minutes!!.......fucking awesome........and then the ladies of SK kick into "the fox" and proceed to get all the lesbian panties wet........and kick me in the nuts.......corin kept making eye contact with me......hence, i'm smitten........
